- Concerns and Issues
In no particular order, and far from complete, here is a list of concerns the next President needs to think about/solve:
Government
- Four Supreme Court Justices will be in their mid to late 70's at the end of this Presidential term. Which means the next president is likely going to determine the leanings of the judicial branch for the next several decades.
- Expand Supreme Court (there are 12 regional circuits, and 1 Federal circuit, so expanding to 12 or 13 is feasible, likely, and if the current President doesn't do this, then the option is there for the next one)
- Foreign Policies (Strengthening bonds with allies again, foreign wars)
- Investing in the government's I.T. department to re-secure existing data across every department and update programs used to access the data.
- Filling Understaffed Agencies (FAA, VA, HHS, USDA, IRS, etc)
- Agencies should be staffed by people loyal to the country/Constitution over a person or party
Policies
- Ending Citizens United / AIPAC / Lobbying
- Artificial Intelligence (regulation is lagging behind invention as always)
- Global warming / Climate change (whether or not it is man-made is irrelevant at this point)
- age limit cap for federal positions (Congress, President, cabinet, Supreme Court)
- Shrinking middle class
- Reintroducing The Fairness Doctrine
- Privatized Mass Incarceration (Prison)
- Gambling
- Deferred Prosecution Agreements/ Non-Prosecution Agreements
- Processes, limits, etc of Congress, Senate, Presidency cabinet, and the Supreme Court
Economics
- Taxes
- Housing
- Increasing credit card debt among average households
- Living Wage / Wage Suppression
- Potential Stock Market bubble
- Corruption in the Stock Market / updating the stock market system
The People
- Supporting families / children
- Abortion Legality (Roe vs Wade)
- Birth Rate Decline (below replacement levels)
- Union Decline
- Welfare
- Homeless
